About Paula Herzog

Paula Herzog is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in TX & MI, Nationally Registered Dietitian (RDN), Certified Weight Manager, (CWM), Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP), Certified Trauma Therapist (CTT), and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).

Paula's career started in major medicals centers as a Registered Dietitian. Seeing patients’ bodies heal was inspiring, but it soon became evident to her that many patients suffered with DEPRESSION and ANXIETY, even PTSD, after their hospital experience. Many patients struggled with MOTIVATION when they had to now manage chronic illnesses like DIABETES and CARDIAC DISEASE. And recently ADJUSTMENT ISSUES for CANCERS and a new BARIATRIC LIFESTYLE have become evident.

Paula achieved her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling and now these are the problems she treats and resolves. Paula can help restore your peace of mind, mental wellness. Her journey has given her additional areas of expertise in Managing in an Empty Nest, Consequential Drug and Alcohol Use/Abuse, Newly Single or Widowed, Caregiver Support Skills, Loss of Pet Bereavement, Relocation Adjustment Issues, Disordered Eating, Body Issues, and Women's Issues.

In her free time, Paula enjoys biking, hiking, winter sports, and water aerobics. On weekends she cooks, travels, and takes very amateur photographs of her grandkids. 😉
